belief that you can do it is the basis of success so changing my life from an 'ordinary' single mum to becoming later in life an adventurer and business developer I now see challenges and change as opportunities. I could be your 'next door neighbour' which gives your people a strong belief that if I can do it so can they!
"Rona Cant spoke at Durham Business School as part of our line up for our third annual Convention. Her story was inspiring and her delivery was definitely engaging. The most impressive element of her presentation was the fact that she related every aspect of the teams learning on her adventure to business and how it can be translated to the boardroom or shopfloor. She explained how leaders could improve the team's performance by considering some fundamental concepts of those who won the round the world yacht race. A story worth hearing!" Alex Sedgwick - Alumni Relations Manager, Durham Business School
“Rona Cant gave an enthralling presentation to one hundred members and guests of the Docklands Business Club in the appropriate setting of the Docklands Sailing Centre based in the Outer Millwall Dock. Rona introduced the audience to her subject with amazing photographs of round the world sailing in very heavy sea. She then employed the strength of her personality and exceptional speaking abilities to hold her audience spellbound for three quarters of an hour. Rona applied examples of battling the elements and sailing setbacks to the ways in which many of life’s business and personal challenges can be faced. Following her presentation Rona spent a generous amount of time in informal chats with her audience.” - Clive Randall, London Chamber of Commerce
Snow, Sleds & Silence - The Story of the Nordkapp Expedition was published 5th September 2011 -
'Well, I've finished the book, and I must be honest.................I couldn't put it down! It was excellent, and it certainly took me back to the C.R.UK. challenge. It has made me re- read my log and look at my photos!I also said 'never again' but I meant it, there is no way I could have tackled what you have done, I do have stamina but not that much and certainly would not have had the strength to lift the sleds when they overturned.' Moira Furmage who sled in front of me on the CancerResearchUK Challenge dog-sledding in Lapland.
